After All and Even After All are series of photorealistic, computer-generated landscape images. The landscapes are entirely created in 3D, including rocks and trees and the gigantic architecture of light. Sublime romantic paintings such as C.D. Friedrich’s, architectural utopias from Étienne-Louis Boullée to Superstudio, the work of Japanese photographer Hiroshi Sugimoto or Land Art pioneers like Walter de Maria or Robert Smithson are all sources of inspiration for the work, as well as the artist’s native Switzerland.
